Welcome to our Schools!

(Paso Robles Independent Study Center - Home School)

Since 1990, our credentialed teachers have teamed with hundreds of dedicated parents who have chosen to educate their TK through eighth-grade children at home.

In a warm, supportive environment, students and parents work in partnership with their Homeschool Resource Teacher, to ensure the best possible learning experience for each and every child.

Every family has its own story, and its own reasons for choosing the “road less traveled.”

We are here to meet you where you are and support you in making your educational journey a success.

Independence High School

At Independence High School, we are driven towards student success and student achievement by providing students with a superior education in a safe and supportive small school environment. Students are provided opportunities for academic and character development while equipping them with the skills necessary to be responsible and productive citizens.

Independence is a WASC-accredited school with the same graduation requirements as other high schools within the Paso Robles Joint Unified School District.

Our respect and pride are evident in everything we do at school and the success of our graduates now in college, career, and our community speaks volumes about the foundation they built while in our program.

Students are provided opportunities for academic and character development while equipping them with the skills necessary to be responsible and productive citizens.

Although we focus on credit recovery, Liberty is a WASC-accredited school with the same graduation requirements as the other high schools within the Paso Robles Joint Unified School District.

Our respect and pride are evident in everything we do at school and the success of our graduates now in college, career, and our community speaks volumes about the foundation they built while in our program.
We also love to see parents involved in our school! Parents are encouraged to participate on school committees, School Site Council, or as volunteers.

 Independent Skills Program (ISP)

The Independent Skills Program (ISP) is a community-based program within the Paso Robles Joint Unified School District that provides opportunities to young adults, aged 18-22 years, with moderate to severe special needs, to develop daily living and vocation skills, maximizing individual potential for adult independence.
The Work Services Program at ISP works in partnership with the Department of Rehabilitation to provide clients with a paid internship at various businesses in San Luis Obispo County that have the potential to lead to permanent employment.

The Independence Skills Program recognizes the individual capabilities of each client and strives to instill the confidence and independence necessary for self-advocacy, leadership, teamwork, and life-long accomplishment.
